Meet the International Broadcaster
We will arrange for you to meet with a series of UK TV Production companies (around 10 companies plus) who are looking to sell and create content for international audiences.
You will also be invited to a lunch time panel session on key trends and issues in international distribution of TV content, and have the opportunity to attend networking functions.
We are able to offer you some funding towards the costs of flights and accommodation to participate in the event. Please see further details below.
The “Meet the International Broadcaster Event” will take place Thursday 10th December 2015 at City Hall, Central London
What
A full day of 1-2-1 matched meetings between London-based production companies and buyers from key international broadcasters (international broadcasters will be able to pre-select which production companies they would like to meet with to ensure a day of relevant and interesting meetings).
We will also be hosting an interactive panel discussion on changing trends in international TV distribution and the chance for you to be selected for the panel, as well as a networking lunch and chance to hear about the latest developments in funding opportunities in the sector and a new TV accelerator programme.
How
UKTI will advertise the event to over 400 TV Production companies, who specialise in documentaries, entertainment, drama and lifestyle productions, if you have certain requests do let us know and we will do our best to match you with a relevant content producer. Companies must meet a strict set of eligibility criteria (trading history, annual turnover, overseas deals) to participate in this event.
We will collate applications from eligible production companies together with their marketing collateral and their slate of programmes. Several weeks before the event, you will be asked to select the production companies you would like to meet. UKTI will then arrange these meetings and prepare an appointment schedule for the day. We can accommodate approximately 10 appointments per buyer, plus networking opportunities and additional introductions if required.
Contribution to Expenses
If selected for funding, we will contribute £600 towards your travel and accommodation costs. Please send us your expression of interest, along with a company profile
