Meet the Team: Dipti Vaidyanathan

21 Mar, 2017 - BCB

I moved to Dubai in 2012 after a brief teaching stint in Strasbourg, France and the change of scene couldn’t have been more varied!

That said, I’ve grown to love the city over the last 5 years. Two things that fascinate me most about Dubai: one, the diversity – you are likely to bump across every other nationality here on a daily basis (which also translates into access to different cuisines!) and two, the city is a gateway to the east and west which simply means I can travel to a myriad of places within a few hours!

Dubai being such a strategic location also ensures that I receive a lot of interest from UK companies, particularly in the training and tech sectors that I oversee at the BCB. With Expo 2020 on the horizon and Dubai aiming to be the Smartest city in the world, this only means that we are getting better and busier and that’s always a good thing! My experience is predominantly around business development and international trade over the last decade and nothing is more satisfying than seeing companies that I have assisted, expand successfully in the market.

Whilst not at work, I try to travel frequently and blog. However, both have taken a backseat currently as I run behind my one year old boy and attempt to decode his babbling.
