Ras Al Khaimah – More than an Investment Destination

19 Apr, 2021 - Uncategorized

Approximately an hour’s drive from Dubai’s populated hot spots and the Dubai international airport is Ras Al Khaimah (RAK). Ras Al Khaimah is one of the seven Emirates that constitutes the UAE. The English translation of the name is ‘top of the tent’ referring to the city’s location being at the most northern part of the country.

The Emirate provides easy access to some of Oman’s vibrant cities such as Musandam and Dibba, which is less than an hour car ride away. Given the strategic geographical location and archaeological excavations that reveal that advanced trading civilizations have existed there for centuries, this is one of the aspects that reflects on the Emirate’s very active business community.

Ras Al Khaimah is home to more than 13,000 multinational companies from 100 countries, and across 50 industries, and even though the world has been going through a major pandemic, this has not stopped exporters and investors from all over the world to expand their operations and set foothold in the city.

The government of Ras Al Khaimah’s ongoing efforts to cultivate trade and investment, while not losing its rich culture and heritage, is one of the unique features of the Emirate that UK exporters can benefit from across multiple sectors.

For UK companies and exporters looking to avail lower cost & efficient set up procedures, high quality living and strategic location and access to a major port in the country, will do well to consider Ras Al Khaimah as a potential destination to help support their business expansion plans in the region.
