In late 2021, the UAE unveiled its new strategy for the creative industry which aims to launch 40 initiatives (16 initiatives aimed at talents and creatives, 10 initiatives for professionals and the business environment, and 14 initiatives for enabling the business environment).
With the new strategy and outlined initiatives seeking to boost the country’s status as a global hub for culture and arts and to increase its contribution to the national GDP by 5% over the next decade, it is expected that international companies will increasingly flock to the UAE to tap into the growing national and regional business opportunities the country has to offer in the creative industries.
The recent and growing innovative cultural initiatives conducted across the country also have fueled the UAE’s position as a world-leading centre for the creative sector, with some of these initiatives including the world-renowned Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi or the ultramodern Dubai Museum of the Future, set to open on 23rd February 2022.
