British Centres For Business Connecting UK Companies To Opportunities At Dubai Expo 2020

24 Nov, 2015 - Consumer & Retail

The BCB provides a platform for UK companies to explore the UAE market and get set up with a local trade licence. For many this is part of a well-choreographed journey to business expansion in the Middle East and beyond. Identifying opportunities, building networks and tapping into local support are all critical to ensuring success.

Today we hosted a networking lunch bringing together BCB clients to find out more about how they can tap into the many opportunities that Expo 2020 Dubai will provide for British companies. Industries represented ranged from high end chauffeuring to document attestation.

The Expo event is a global trade event which occurs every five years in a new location. Dubai’s hosting of the event is expected to draw 25 million visitors during the six month term, 70% of which will likely be from outside the UAE.

David Kaye, from UKTI provided detailed insight into plans and timelines for Expo 2020 and gave a flavor of the types of opportunities that will be available for UK companies that wish to take part in the event, mooted to contribute more than £15 billion to the UAE’s GDP by the time it’s finished.

UK companies of all sizes are encouraged to take part and with the facility provided by UK Export Finance the opportunity is realistic.

If you are a British company looking to the UAE as a potential market for your business, with your sights set on Expo 2020 Dubai or beyond, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
