Having been hugely successful in the UK, HEM sought support from the British Centres for Business to gauge market appetite and develop business for such products within the UAE and the Middle East.
The BCB will locally represent HEM for a three month period to undertake research and business development support and outreach for a range of sectors including shipbuilding and repair, the energy industry, HVAC, water supply, and waste management.
Outcomes for client
Project ongoing. Outcome to be confirmed by the client.
HITEK Electronic Materials (HEM) has been trading since 1985 and has focussed and grown continuously in the field of electronic shielding materials to protect electronics from interference, or interfering with, other electronics.
The business was heavily focussed on military applications, and it was from this market that an opportunity arose to supply the British Navy with a descaler that was easily transportable by air. HEM managed to source a material and eventually won the distributor rights for this product. Their materials are also bio-degradable so that, when self-neutralised through use, the materials can be disposed of as normal waste (rather than hazardous waste as with most industrial descalers).
