goAML

The BCB is now a registered Corporate Services Provider accredited by the Central Bank of UAE under the Ministry of Economy’s “goAML” programme – an integrated platform that is used to file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and/or Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR).

 The BCB’s accreditation is in line with the UAE’s aim to contribute to global antimoney laundering efforts and combat the financing of terrorism.

District 2020 (Scale2Dubai)

We are partnered with District 2020 and providing support to the Expo 2020 Dubai’s future Global Innovation Ecosystem, District 2020 (Scale2Dubai). District 2020 is bringing together global entities comprising of Fortune 500 companies, SMEs, Startups, Academic Institutes, Labs, Accelerators & VCs to actively curate the business ecosystem that will focus on spurring innovation.

Scale2Dubai is District 2020’s global entrepreneurs programme. The programme offers startups and small businesses with a proven track record in their countries an opportunity to scale their businesses to Dubai. Scale2Dubai provides a soft landing for these entrepreneurs and businesses to set up in District 2020’s ecosystem.

 

UAE-UK Business Council

The UAE-UK Business Council is a thought leadership forum that brings together business leaders from both countries to identify and help to resolve barriers to trade and investment between the UAE and the UK. Through its Working Groups, campaigns and events, it seeks to identify emerging trends and opportunities for closer commercial collaboration between the two countries. The Business Council is funded entirely by its members and is supported by a Joint Secretariat that supports the interests of both UAE and UK member companies and stakeholders.

Midlands Engine

In line with Midlands Engine’s objective to promote the region around the world, the BCB has worked on numerous joint missions & initiatives, particularly in the healthcare & construction sectors, to support companies from the Midlands in the UAE and wider Gulf.

Dubai SME

Dubai SME is the local government body tasked with the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Dubai.  Our incubator is certified within Dubai SME’s accredited network and we work together to support UK companies finding their way in Dubai.

 

Welsh Government

The BCB has been engaging with the Welsh government on several projects, including physical and virtual missions. In the Food & Beverage space, the BCB has provided 1-2-1 business matchmaking for welsh companies and market briefings.

Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB)

The BCB has been appointed as the representative of British lamb in the Middle East. The appointment is in conjunction with the increasing demand for quality British Meat in the region. With an entrenched network, the BCB is best positioned to promote and expand the market share of British lamb in the region.

Invest Northern Ireland

The BCB works with INI to support companies from Northern Ireland looking to set up in the UAE through our Incubator platform. We work with their sector specialists and teams to promote exporters from Northern Ireland and help them find commercial channels in the wider region.

Catapult Connected Places

Providing local representation in the UAE for all CPC’s activities within the areas of technology and smart city activities. The BCB provides on-the-ground support to all CPC member / associate companies in the UAE and acting as a ‘local chapter’ of CPC for this purpose. The BCB’s physical offices provides CPC & related companies with a ready-made landing spot in the UAE to meet clients, host events or just get online.

Capital Scaling Partner

Capita Scaling Partners retains the BCB for local representation in the GCC for their portfolio of high-growth tech companies. The BCB provides on-the-ground market research and commercial horsepower which resulted in approx. 80 prequalified meetings being delivered in 2019-20, leading to more than GBP 2m of new business wins from public and private sector clients.

Northern Powerhouse

The Northern Powerhouse forms part of the UK government’s industrial strategy which is building on its strong economy and helping businesses up and down the country seize opportunities beyond the British Isles. The BCB has been supporting NPH and companies with market-entry & introductions across multiple sectors in the UAE including food & drink.

Chamber International

With the BCB’s founder’s proud Yorkshire roots, developing a strong relationship with Chamber International was a priority in order to bolster trade & exports from England’s premier county into the Gulf.

Scottish Development International (SDI)

Since 2017, we have been partners with Scottish Development International (SDI) in the UAE, providing a range of services including networking reception, trade mission & delegation support to Arab Health exhibitions, where we facilitated market entry introductions with leading UAE-based entities across medical, life sciences & healthcare sector.

Newable

We are partnered with Newable who support businesses in the Southeast and London region interested in exporting to new markets including the UAE. With the BCB’s on ground presence and experience in organising B2B meetings, we have been helping Newable and companies for the past few years in breaking into the UAE market across different sectors.

The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC)

The BCB was formed in 2013 through a global trade promotion initiative, developed by the British Chambers of Commerce in partnership with the UK Government. Between 2015 and 2017, we were an accredited member of the BCC’s global network and continue to work closely with the 53 Chambers across the UK, supporting their members in the GCC region.

Santander

The BCB has been working with Santander Bank in the UK to organise market access programmes to provides companies with quality information as well as business opportunities in the UAE. Our support includes regional market research, sector briefings, 1-2-1 matchmaking and targeted buyer visits, delivered both in person and on line.

The British Business Group (BBG)

We are a member of the British Business Group (BBG) here in the UAE. The BBG has more than 400 companies as their members and whose prime objective is bridging the gap between businesses and policy/decision makers in both the UK and the UAE.

Department for International Trade (DIT)

The BCB is the official partner of the UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) supporting British companies to develop exports in the UAE and wider Middle East.

Since April 2016, the BCB has delivered for DIT more than 350 bespoke export support project for UK firms in the region, generating in excess of GBP 86 million in export wins.

We have also delivered 40+ missions to the Middle East as well as assisting more than 45 UK firms with company set-up solutions via our market entry business set-up (incubator) platform.

 

 

Dubai FDI

Since 2014, the BCB has partnered with Dubai FDI, part of the Department of Economic Development in Dubai, to promote and improve UK-UAE business growth. Through our partnership and active support from Dubai FDI, we act as a catalyst for inward investment and provide a unique market offering for British firms.

The BCB is a subsidiary of OCO Global. OCO have been providing economic development solutions for over 15 years to top organisations and supported leading consulting firms with their support to many private sector companies on their internationalization journey.
