BCB’s August Newsletter: 36 days to go!

26 Aug, 2021

Good Morning

As the weather in the UAE starts to show some signs of cooling down (it’s all relative but, 45C to 39C is a big & welcome drop!) things are hotting up with Expo 2020 Dubai on the immediate horizon, now just over a month away.

You will hear lots more from us on Expo over the coming months!

The UAE’s recent addition to the UK’s ‘Amber’ travel list is therefore a very welcome development as it makes visiting the UAE for business, pleasure or Expo altogether move practicable and we hope to see many of you here in the coming months. We’re also very pleased to see the return to a full series of physical trade shows in the UAE over the coming 6-7 months with the first, WETEX in Dubai (sustainability & green energy), starting on October 5th.

This month, we bring you a number of articles and news pieces on various industries and sectors from our colleagues. This includes a general overview on tradethe UAE defence industryscrap metal; and a really interesting article on economic competition in the GCC. Your feedback is welcome.

And finally, we’re delighted to be working again with our friends in Yorkshire, Chamber International, on their 1st September GCC Trade Forum (see details and registration here) and hope you can join us on that.

Regards

Joe
