BCB October: UK events and Sharjah spotlight

01 Nov, 2018
Good Day

With the clocks going back in the UK, we are experiencing our own autumnal rituals in the UAE too: this includes turning the water heater back on and getting the BBQ ready for a serious campaign.

Business is rebooting too.

The GITEX technology show took place in Dubai last week and we have already hosted one incoming mission with our partners at Santander UK for the retail sector and next week sees them bring a dozen food companies for an intense three days of buyer meetings.  Those of you who do business in the region will know that the six months from November to April sees a very concentrated & busy professional calendar and we highlight some of the main trade shows to be aware of here.

The BCB has been busy in October working on an exciting project in Sharjah with the Future Cities Catapult to help develop the emirate’s innovation economy and showcase UK technology.  For anyone who isn’t aware of what’s happening in Sharjah, I’d recommend that it forms part of all visits to the UAE as there are some very interesting things happening there!

In November, we will be in the UK – Manchester 14th / London 16th – for a pair of events designed to help companies in the tech & creative sectors who are serious about establishing a corporate footprint in the UAE to take that next step and embark on the journey.  Information and registration details can be found here.

As ever, we want to hear from you and look forward to supporting your growth plans in the Middle East.

Regards

Joe
