British Business In The GCC: An Event

10 Nov, 2014 - Consumer & Retail

On the 25th November I’ll be in the company of my Overseas Business Network initiative (OBNi) counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait. The event is being hosted by the British Business Group in Dubai.

The British Centres for Business (BCB) which was founded in the UAE earlier in the year is part of a UKTI funded global network of support initiatives for British exporters and SMEs.  In the latter half of 2014 the project has got underway in Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia and we are delighted to welcome the leaders from each market to Dubai.  They will brief members in a panel discussion on developments in their respective countries and how they can support British business looking to develop commercial opportunities in each market. The discussion will then be followed by a Q&A session.

Under normal circumstances I’d be promoting Dubai and the wider UAE to the UK market, however in this instance, I’d advise you to attend if your company has regional expansion plans; the OBNi is not solely  for companies in the UK, but for UK companies wherever they may be.
