BCB August: UAE-Israel / lamb / Dubai FDI webinars

26 Aug, 2020

Good Morning

For many of our clients, their plans to launch in, sell to or enter the UAE are typically based not just on local market potential but demand in the wider region that’s so accessible from here. One third of the world’s population is within a 4 hour flight; two thirds are within 12 hours.

The recent announcement that Israel & the UAE are normalising relations, leading to open trade between the two nations is big news here and adds one of the final jigsaw pieces to the UAE’s regional access story for UK firms wanting to do business from here throughout MENA.

Building on our strong credentials in the food & drink sector, we’ve recently started working with the UK’s Agricultural & Horticultural Development Board (AHDB) to promote British lamb in the region. We’re seeing really good interest from the retail & food service sectors already…surely an opportunity for mint sauce producers!

Looking ahead, we’re pleased to be working with our friends at Dubai FDI on a series of webinars for the UK in September & October looking at specific sector opportunities in the Food, Healthcare, Logistics and Technology industries. We’ll be sharing more details in the next few weeks, but the dates are now set.

And finally, applications for the next cohort at Dubai Future Accelerators are now open (until 20th September) and should be of interest to British companies in tech, healthcare, mobility, data analytics and robotics.

Regards
Joe
