BCB May: Expo postponement, partnerships and more export opportunities

21 May, 2020

Good Morning

With the Eid Al-Fitr holidays approaching to mark the end of Ramadan, it’s a good time to take stock on what’s been happening in May.

The big news in the UAE was the confirmation of the postponement, to October 2021, of Expo 2020 Dubai. The event, along with the similarly delayed Tokyo Olympics, provides for the ideal lodestar to look forward to, post CV19, and we are already helping our clients develop plans on how to make the most of the additional 12 months ahead of the event.

Continuing our ‘partnership’ theme from earlier in the year, we enjoyed collaborating with our friends at Dubai FDI for a recent podcast with their CEO, Fahad Al Gergawi, discussing the inward investment outlook for Dubai and we’re also pleased to feature this upcoming joint webinar on 28th May 2020 from the British Business Groups and DIT in the UAE.

And, despite on-going disruptions, we continue to find & publish local business opportunities for UK exporters across multiple industries.

Our office will be closed over the Eid festival and we wish you all Eid Mubarak.

Regards
Joe
