Dubai food bloggers launch campaign across UAE to spread awareness about food choices

To help health-­conscious buyers, Dubai-based food-safety consultant Judy ­Sebastian and health researcher Louise Steen have initiated a Safe and Healthy Food UAE campaign (#Sahfuae), an online and offline interactive campaign that kicked off with its first workshop on “What’s in your Trolley?” this month. The campaign is launched across all Emirates of the UAE to spread awareness about food choices.

DIFC Gate district allocates 18% to F&B and retail

DIFC has initiated construction for its 11th office building in the Gate District. It will be an AED 205 million (US $55.8 million) space, spanning across 200,000 square feet, 18% of which will be dedicated to F&B and retail.

Food and health authorities have joined to produce a guide that will show residents how much food is too much. The AED 200,000 project, which took three years to finish, will form the basis for a larger plan that will also look at chronic diseases, nutrition, water consumption and food security.
