Marka to expand Reem Al Bawadi across the UAE
Marka has confirmed the expansion of the Reem al Bawadi restaurant chain into Sharjah and Ras al Khaimah in Q4 2015, most likely November. The new additions will be located at Sahara Centre , Sharjah and Al Naeem Mall, Ras al Khaimah. This will extend the brand’s portfolio to nine outlets across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Lulu Group buys Scotland Yard for five-star hotel
Abu Dhabi-based Lulu Group International has bought London landmark, Great Scotland Yard, with plans to create a five-star hotel on the site. Scotland Yard is the original London Metropolitan Police headquarters at 4 Whitehall Place, which had a rear entrance on a street called Great Scotland Yard.

Tom Aiken outlet opening set for September 2015
Less than seven weeks remain until Michelin-starred chef Tom Aikens opens his new concept Pots, Pans & Boards at The Beach, opposite JBR, in Dubai. The restaurant interior, designed by Michaelis Boyd Associates, has drawn inspiration from an old-fashioned rustic home kitchen, with a range of hanging copper pots and pans, old kitchen knives and large heavy cleavers stuck into the walls of antique kitchen tiles.
