UAE’s Al Nassma signs deal with Harrods

Dubai-based camel milk chocolate firm, Al Nassma Chocolate, has revealed a retail partnership with London department store, Harrods. The halal-approved chocolate, which is the only one of its kind worldwide, will be available at London’s flagship store starting mid-July 2015.

Food and beverage arm of Lulu International Group (TFC) to operate 57 outlets by 2018

Tablez Food Company (TFC) has charted out its expansion plans, following a US $41 million investment, Gulf News reported. It will double it locations and will up its outlets from 31 to 57, as well as expanding its work force from 400 to 1800 by 2018. TFC currently operates Peppermill Indian Restaurant, Bloomsbury’s, Galito’s, and London Dairy, has signed franchise agreement with Famous Dave’s, a barbecue concept, and Genghis Grill, an Asian grill house.
Get the full story on tonnes of food mobilised within the UAE each year, including imports and local production, it is thought about 3.27 million tonnes is wasted. This is enough food to fill 136,250 trucks.
